Chapter4:Dainy

I woke up this morning with one purpose- avoid Reagan Orniel. After he left last night my mind refused to shut-down. It kept replying everything that happened, it actually made a list, seriously. First- The kiss or as many would call it, ‘The make out session'. Second- His suggestion or should I say thoughts, because he did say he ‘thinks' we should be exclusive. What does that even mean? Third - The kiss. Why did he have to kiss me?. I scream into my pillow. How did my life become complicated? How did I come from being a strong headed cheerleader to a weak girl that gets putty in the hands of the school jock after a few kisses? Oh, let's not forget the finger touches! "Oh no," I groan into my feather pillow as I consider just jumping off the roof top and taking my chances in the afterlife. I'm so screwed. How did I start being one of those girls that spends their nights worrying about a guy? More accurately, when did I start. I'm afraid to say that it wasn't two moons ago. I had a crush on Reagan since my first year in high school when he removed his t-shirt, gifting me my first glimpse of a shirtless Reagan. And boy was I too young to be having the thoughts I had that hot summers night. I was sitting in the splash pool on the roof and he was on his balcony. It was past nine p.m, and so darn hot that I said screw it to all the bugs and took my chances outside because the aircon wasn't working and there was no way I was sitting under a ceiling fan that did nothing but whistle a false promise of cooling me down. My brother and Jace were downstairs hogging the main pool, so I ended up on the roof by my lonesome. I wasn't spying, just watching the view, which so happened to be the Orniel mansion. When Reagan's room light went on, I may or may not have jumped out of the pool and went to edge of the rooftop to see what he was up to. Normally his blinds were shut but not that day. I watched Reagan's window like a hawk, waiting to catch a glimpse of him, but after a few minutes I had just about given up. The mosquitos were sucking my blood like Jace Stone sucked from the kegs, him and my brother liked to get. The balcony below his opened up and there he was. His outside light was on, making it easy for me to see the powder blue shorts that folded up by the knees and white tee he wore. Reagan didn't see me, he was too busy watching the sky, hands in his pockets, looking so lost. I wondered what he was thinking about, even started guessing. It wasn't long after someone joined him on the balcony, it was Lucan. Their laughs grew so loud I could hear some of it, but not enough. Either way, I was so engrossed in watching them that I stopped worrying about the mosquitos that were using me for a full seven course meal. I wasn't sure how long I remained glued to that spot before Lucan started shaking something, and a few seconds later, the something which was actually a can of coke was spraying both of them. Bursting out into a fit of giggles I quickly ducked down in case they saw me. After I counted to twenty, I peeped over the brick barrier I was hiding behind and that's when I saw him slip his t-shirt off. It was also when I realized I had a crush on Reagan Orniel and over the years it just grew, until two-nights ago it exploded.
