Cameron was taken aback by Jason's question. He parted his lips, but the words didn't come. What could he say? That he'd only realized his feelings for Clementine after she'd left? That he wanted her back? Perhaps he could tell her that he would chase Jocelyn away after she'd given birth. They weren't married, anyway. He swallowed and looked at Clementine, who was shielded behind Chester and Jason. It had only been half a year since they'd last seen each other, but she looked much better than she'd been when she was living at the Ford residence. Her dull eyes were now filled with light and joy. "I know I made a mistake, Clementine. I shouldn't have treated you like that. I always thought I didn't have feelings for you. I only realized you were the one I loved after you left.
