Chapter 17
Cameron didn't remember how he'd barged into Clementine's room and ripped her journal to pieces. All he knew was that she'd stood before him with tears streaming down her face when he returned to his senses.
He'd panicked at that moment, but the panic had given way to anger when he remembered the contents of the journal. "I've only thought of you as a sister since your first day here. How could you have formed such dirty thoughts about me?
"You'd better forget all about them if you want to remain at the Ford residence! If this gets out and people hear about this, you'll be disgracing our family!"
He'd stormed off after roaring those words. He hadn't looked at her again.
Cameron touched the journal, which had been patched together. He could imagine how Clementine had broken down in tears after he'd left. Then, she would've put the journal back together after drying her tears.
