Cameron's ears rang, and he placed a hand over his heart. Ivy wasn't an inexperienced young woman, so his actions solidified her absurd guess. She asked, "Do you want to look for Evelyn because you've suddenly realized your feelings for her?" Did he like Evelyn? In the past, he would've immediately denied this. But after panicking and wanting to find her when realizing she wasn't at the wedding or at home… The feelings he'd buried deep inside finally broke through the surface and encompassed him. Ivy knew she'd guessed correctly when she saw him like that. She slapped him again. "She's your sister! How could you have formed such dirty thoughts about her?" Cameron had said similar things to Evelyn three years ago. Ivy was throwing them back in his face. She'd slapped him so hard that he'd turned to the side from the impact, and a wave of sadness washed over him. It had taken him so long to realize how hurtful those words were. He only harbored feelings for Evelyn—it was nothing mor
