Chapter 63 No More Pushing Away
Tiffany glanced at her phone, then at Mortimer. She felt extremely numb right now.
“You’ve just graduated, right? That means your father probably gave you the money for the proposal. Why don’t I just deal with him instead?” Tiffany said flatly.
Williams stumbled for an answer, “I… I actually borrowed that money, but I didn’t tell you because I was worried you wouldn’t have believed its credibility."
“Who did you borrow it from?”
“Me,” Mortimer finally spoke up.
Janet quickly sent another text to Tiffany. “They’re both lying to you. Williams told me Mr. M was Mortimer himself!”
Tiffany clutched her phone tightly and clenched her teeth angrily.
Mr. M—Mortimer Campbell. She should’ve known.
Mortimer had used Williams to make her sell NC Company. This pissed Tiffany off to no end, regardless of whether or not the self-driving program left behind by his father truly existed.
Why didn’t Mortimer be honest with her from the start? Was NC Company not worth him dealing the purchase deal himself
