Chapter 5 A Punch to Kill
Wells?
Ernie first stared blankly, then widened his eyes, "Could you be from that family?"
Walter Wells?
Vetrad's Wells family!
Yes!
It had to be the case; otherwise, how could he have risen to such heights in just six years, starting from a humble vendor? There must be a mentor guiding him!
Ernie swiftly organized his thoughts, a shadow of gloom in his eyes. "Even if you are from the Wells family, so what? Six years ago, someone treated you that way. I bet you're just a discarded child of the Wells family."
"What right do you have to cause a scene in front of me?"
"Let me make it clear; you won't stir any waves in my presence."
Ernie shouted almost maniacally, "Six years ago, I could have killed you, and now I still can. If I eradicate you completely, I might gain even more favor from above."
"By then, even if I have to disband the entire Harper family, there might still be a chance."
Ernie looked crazy!
His eyes were full of gloom!
Exactly!
Just like this.
Walter, hands behind his back, remarked, "Facing death, and still unrepentant. Truly, you leave people feeling helpless."
Death?
Ernie mumbled, "Death? Today, it's you who will die, not me. At my command, anyone, with a single word, can bring about your demise."
"Do you still think you have any abilities?"
"It's really pathetic."
Ernie looked disdainful. "Get him, as long as you kill him, I'll give you a hundred thousand!"
A hundred thousand?
Many individuals in the vicinity revealed a glint in their eyes. They weren't exactly upstanding citizens. The acts of killing and arson weren't foreign concepts to them. At this moment, the prospect of earning a hundred thousand for ending Walter's life seemed quite appealing.
Walter self-mockingly smiled. So, his bounty was this inexpensive?
If other external forces got aware of this, would they find it amusing?
Back when the underground world placed a bounty of a billion, not a soul dared to pluck this crimson flower. What about now?
Pathetic!
With a sigh, two individuals couldn't restrain themselves, vigorously waving their fists as they charged toward Walter. Their fists swung through the air, creating a gust of wind.
Combatants!
But they were just some no-name Combatants!
"Kid, you're mine."
"I will definitely kill you."
"Killing you, this trash, I can get a hundred thousand."
...
The two yelled as they approached. Walter squinted, humming lightly, "Kneel!"
It was resounding like thunder.
Boom!
The thunder-like roar exploded in the ears of the two, almost instantly, and they both knelt on the ground.
Plump!
The powerful pressure made their knees uncontrollable, constantly trembling.
Terrifying!
Truly terrifying!
It was hard to imagine that just the pressure alone had such momentum. How strong was his strength, really?
"As long as we can kill him, I'll give fifty thousand!"
Indeed, a generous reward attracted a brave man!
A reward of fifty thousand!
The scene instantly boiled over!
Almost in the blink of an eye, the henchmen beside Ernie rushed out, eager to completely dismantle Walter.
Ernie was even more pleased, "I don't know what secrets you have, but you can't beat four hands with your fists."
"Do you really think you have any ability?"
"I'll tell you, with your kind of person, I've seen a lot. Once I kill you and present your head to the higher-ups, maybe they'll be even happier, and my position will be even more stable."
He didn't know the relationship between Walter and the Wells family, but the fact that Walter was being hunted suggested it wasn't simple.
There might be something fishy going on.
What could be confirmed, however, was that the higher-ups definitely didn't want Walter alive.
In that case!
They could just kill Walter.
Death!
As long as Walter died, everything would be fine. But soon, he was stunned.
Bang!
Just saw Walter casually raise his hand and calmly throw a punch, instantly sending a person flying.
"Ah!"
The man immediately let out a wail, his body falling to the ground like a kite with a broken string. In his mouth, he also spat out a large mouthful of blood, staining his clothes red.
Instantly fainted!
Hiss!
Faced with Walter's strength, everyone took a cold breath. You look at me, I look at you, and it's evident they saw the fear in each other's eyes. This look made people feel terrified.
One punch disabled a Combatant!
Could he be a Battle Master?
Ernie also felt a bit of danger, "What are you all standing there for? Charge up to him!"
"Don't you want money anymore?"
Money!
Just thinking about the reward!
Everyone went crazy again. They rushed out, saying, "Get the hell out there, boys! Let's team up and whack this guy right in front of us!"
"Damn right, poppin' him off solves everythin'."
"Spot on, this is the way. No need for chit-chat, let's ice him first."
"Alright, fellas, hit him together."
...
Walter shook his head, "Just a group of unruly people!"
Words fell.
The God of Slaughter appeared!
He rushed out in one step.
Bang, bang, bang!
In an instant.
The situation up front took a sudden turn. Walter threw a punch, and the crackling of bones echoed as one person's frame shattered!
The crunching sounds persisted, harmonizing with the screams of the scene, crafting the most macabre yet mesmerizing tableau!
It was terrifying.
In just a few breaths of time, apart from Walter, no one stood in front.
Ernie swallowed spit hard, "How did you do it?"
He couldn't believe his eyes. He'd been in the game for so many years, crossed some folks, and always prioritized his safety, especially in recruiting top-notch bodyguards, going the extra mile.
He had brought in quite a few heavy hitters. Yet, in front of Walter, they seemed like trash?
Taken down effortlessly?
He gazed up and locked eyes with Walter. His knees subconsciously buckled, body recoiling, and the look directed at Walter was one of heightened astonishment, "How... how'd you pull it off?"
"What do you want?"
Seeing Walter approaching him, Ernie's heart became even more panicked.
Especially at this moment, there was blood on Walter's fists, giving off a faint demonic feeling?
Not simple!
Walter didn't even bother with Ernie, mocking him with a smile, "Ernie, I told you, tonight, you will pay the price for your choices."
"The Stewart family will be destroyed tonight!"
