Chapter 13

Chashman didnt come out until it was time for lunch, a servant came to call her down. It was only, Miraan’s mother and aunt on lunch. It seemed like Miraan was also gone outside. "I hope that you are comfortable here" Miraan’s mother asked with an adoring smile. She had a soft corner for Chashman even after seeing her behavior. "I am ... " Chashman said without any display of emotions and continued eating her food. she didnt plan to soften up for anyone else here. The lunch was done in silence, Chashman quickly got up after finishing her food. "Spend some time with us. We have been waiting to meet you since a long time " Miraan's aunt said with a kind smile. Chashman looked at her for a few seconds, "I would like to go to my room. i want to sleep " she said and headed towards her room without waiting for a reply. The ladies were left in silence after Chashman’s rudeness. Chashman called Amna after sitting on the bed, she talked to her for a long time, but she couldn’t tell her, what had happened in the morning. she couldn’t share the conflict in her own feelings. Miraan returned in the evening, he had just entered the main door when his personal cell rang, he picked up the call seeing that it was Sinaan's. After greetings, Sinaan told him about the wedding. "Aren't you telling me too soon? " Miraan asked taking in the news. His best friend was getting married. "I didnt think much of it, and you were also busy, I was waiting for us to meet and then tell you, but its not looking possible anytime soon. so yeah.... " Sinaan said. " Okay! " Miraan said letting go his grievance. "Manage your schedule. I won't accept any excuses! " Sinaan said warning him, it brought a smile on Miraan's face. he definitely wasn’t going to miss his best friend's wedding . After ending the call, he headed towards the living room. He asked his mother about Chashman. A sad look came on his mother's face, Miraan could tell that Chashman had done something. "I don’t think she is anywhere near comfortable here...... she hasn’t come out of her room since noon " her mother said with a sigh. " i will go , check on her. " Miraan said barely stopping the annoyance from entering his voice. " Eat something first." his mother said trying to stop him, she knew her son very well, she could feel the change in his mood. Miraan entered Chashman’s room after getting the permission. She was standing near the window, busy with her phone. "No plans of coming out of the room anymore today?" Miraan asked with a slight taunt. "I think i have spent quite a lot of time with your Dada saeen today! stop disturbing me now " Chashman seethed. She was already feeling stuffed due to keeping everything in , all the conflict, all her emotions. She didnt need to be dictated by Miraan at the moment. "You have a whole family here, lets just leave them all for now. your father?! does he also not deserve any time of yours?" Miraan asked with knitted brows. Chashman turned away not wanting to let his dark eyes intimidate her. " leave. me. alone! " Chashman said, but her voice was getting heavy with unshed tears. She had no one here to share her feelings with. Miraan heard the change in her voice, he moved closer to her. "What's wrong?" Miraan asked in a much softer voice as he stood just behind her. He could see her reflection in the window. He saw tears leak out of her closed eyes. He was looking at them, not able to blink ."Nothing...." Chashman said still not opening her eyes. "Is it because of Dada saeen ? " Miraan asked. he had noticed the change in her behavior in the morning, she wasn’t that cold or indifferent to Dada saeen as she was last day. He saw as her face scrunched up, he was right..... " listen to your heart. Do what gives you peace, there’s nothing more important than your inner peace " Miraan said as he placed a hand on top of her head. Chashman opened her eyes feeling his touch. she saw his focus on her in the mirror, but at that moment, she didnt care if he was able to see her tears. Only thing which mattered was his kind words, she hadn’t expected it from him. He was the reason of her conflicts, he shouldn’t be saying things to comfort her...........
