Chapter 438
The room was silent again, but the air was heavy with unspoken words, buried truths, and the promise of a coming storm.
Eleanor spoke firmly, "Let's discuss this in person, okay? Tomorrow at five in the evening, at West Sea Bay. Whether you come or not, I will be there."
"If you choose not to show up, I won't insist."
With that, Eleanor quickly and decisively hung up the phone.
Robert didn’t even have the chance to respond before the call was cut. He stared at the screen, his fingers frozen, his mind clouded. Deep within his dark eyes, something stirred—an emotion too tangled to name.
"Eleanor..." he murmured, the name rolling off his tongue with a bitter edge.
A thought suddenly emerged in Robert's mind. His eyes narrowed slightly, his jaw tightening as he made a firm decision.
After the call ended, Samuel entered Eleanor’s bedroom, his expression teasing but inquisitive.
"So, you reached out to Robert?" he asked, though the amusement in his voice suggested he already knew the answer.
