Chapter 14
The post was written by a newly registered account with a tone reminiscent of an entertainment gossip columnist.
Tower Master: "I won't go into the details everyone already knows. She was indeed brought back from the countryside by her parents. The village girl angle is true. Reportedly, there's no campus in that village, so her lack of education is a fact. Besides, the Hampton family found her embarrassing, so they sent her to university. As for why she's so arrogant, take a look at these photos."
The writer then posted several high-definition photos. In them, Eleanor was seen standing with a man at the entrance of the Joy Club, seemingly deep in conversation. After sharing the photos, the writer continued:
[I'm sure everyone knows what kind of place the Joy Club is. It's where the elite go to eat, drink, and have fun. How does a student recently brought back to the Hampton family know about a place like that? And the man with her looks like someone important.]
[When she returned to Chicago, she partied and drank at the Joy Club with a big shot. The reason is obvious. She's just a village girl with no education, who didn’t know how to restrain herself after coming to university. Instead, she acts like she's in charge. Today, she even dared to bully her own cousin. Clearly, she isn’t afraid of the Hampton family elders. I think we all know where her confidence comes from.]
The analysis immediately drew numerous followers.
[That makes sense. I’m with you on this.]
[I told you, she has nothing to offer except her looks. This is a classic case of a pretty woman being supported by a rich guy.]
[Oh God, these photos are scandalous. They look really close. It seems the big shot is quite fond of her.]
[I’m disgusted. She returns to the Hampton family and continues her scheming ways. Or should I say, stealing...people?]
[We’re all thinking it. The Hampton family really got unlucky with her. She’s disgraceful.]
[The moment I saw her, I knew she was trouble. She looks like a seductress.]
[Yes, my eyes are tainted.]
...
The post quickly amassed over 1,000 comments, surpassing even the post on Abigail. It became the hottest topic on the campus forum that day.
Naturally, the students of Class A also saw the trending post, and Eleanor could feel the judgmental stares from all directions. Her expression, however, remained unchanged.
The photos on the forum had been taken when she and Luciano parted ways at the club entrance that day. It seemed she had overestimated her peers.
"I expected more of a commotion, but this is quite underwhelming," she thought.
