Eleanor sneered inwardly, determined not to compromise.
"Should I greet Abigail submissively? Dream on!" She quickly looked away, pretending she hadn't heard a thing, and found a seat to sit down.
Old Master Hampton's face turned red with anger. "You are truly a mountain village girl who can't be disciplined!"
Theodore's face stiffened, unsure of what to say. Amelia, on the other hand, clenched her teeth in resentment. It was Eleanor again! She knew bringing Eleanor would cause trouble, and now she was embarrassed.
"Sister..." Charles glanced at Eleanor sympathetically. He didn't understand why their grandfather treated his sister so harshly.
Meanwhile, Abigail, Hazel, and Catherina were all gloating, their laughter thinly veiled.
