There was a brief pause before Quentin's voice came through, heavy with gravity. "He's holding a large number of child laborers on a southern island. And these kids are more than just workers."
"It seems like he's involved in something sinister. Those poor kids might all be his lab rats!" I said, my voice quivering, dreading that he'd confirm my worst nightmare.
"That seems to be the case." Quentin sighed. "From what we've gathered, almost all the kids on that island are a thorn in Murphy's side—either children of his rivals or kids he's taken a personal interest in. It's a living hell for them. They might be better off dead."
