I pulled out a photo of Grandma, mumbling softly to myself, and before I realized it, tears were streaming down my face.
My stomach ached, and I curled up into a ball, feeling an overwhelming sense of helplessness like never before.

"Hello, food delivery." It was a stranger's voice.
"Leave it at the door, please." I wasn't sure if Ethan had left, so I didn't dare open the door.
