Time flew by, and before I knew it, two days had passed.
During that time, I tried going to the piano room to practice, but it was either locked, already occupied, or—most ridiculously—I was told the key had been "lost". Such a pathetic excuse; anyone with half a brain could tell someone was messing with me.

I found it amusing. What was the point of blocking my practice? Did she think that by stopping me from rehearsing, I wouldn't be able to perform?
