Chapter 69 Like a Guardian Angel
Eric was wearing a simple, clean white shirt, with the cuffs rolled up to reveal his forearms. His faint veins were visible. Beneath the slightly open collar, his muscles were subtly outlined, and his entire presence exuded a unique, masculine energy.
I instinctively turned my head, feeling my ears burn. "Y-You're here for business, right?"
He didn't seem to notice my awkwardness and simply turned to glance at the private room I was heading to. "I happened to overhear Jeremiah and the others discussing you and got a little worried. So I decided to wait for you here."
A warm feeling passed through me. It seemed that every time I got into trouble, he was always there for me. I silently apologized for the complaints I had previously made about him.
If I looked at it from another perspective, he was like my guardian angel. Whenever he was around, I felt much more at ease.
I smiled. "Don't worry, I'm prepared this time. Since you're already here, why not join me for a little show?"
