As he stepped out of the room, his gaze shifted entirely like he was a different person.
Shane took the bowl that only had half of the soup left from Anderson's hand. "Don't put celery in the soup again."
"Yes, Mr. Barlow. By the way, Mrs. Sawyer went to Barlow Estate, and after Madam Sonia found out what happened, she has been trying to find you for the past three days. Mrs. Barlow is worried about you as well."
"Ignore them," Anderson said.
"Yes."
At night, Mayra had yet another nightmare where she relieved everything that happened in that abandoned warehouse. Only this time, she was not blindfolded.
She could distinctively feel the blood splashing onto her eyes, and everything she saw was bright red.
When she turned around, everyone around her had disappeared and was replaced by endless darkness along with the barely alive person lying on the ground.
