Chapter 651
Mayra reacted to his words, not in a good way but rather with wariness and resentment.
"What do you want?"
He smiled. "Eat first."
"I don't need you to feed me. I can eat on my own," she said.
The two fought for the bowl. Anderson was determined and refused to let go, but Mayra was the same way. They both wrestled with one another, with neither willing to admit defeat.
"I'll feed you, or you won't eat at all," Anderson said.
Mayra didn't bother to hide her disgust toward him. "I'm not eating, then. I'm not going to starve to death without you." She swung her arm and slapped the bowl out of his hand.
The soup spilled onto the ground, and the bowl rolled off a rather long distance before stopping, but it didn't break.
Mayra could sense that Anderson was boiling with anger, but he couldn't care less.
"Am I being too lenient, Mayra?"
Furious, she retorted, "I don't need your leniency. Thank you for taking care of me. I should go now."
