Chapter 495
As soon as those words left her lips, Isabel sensed the change in Anderson's attitude and realized she had gone out of line.
She apologized, "Sorry, I was too impatient."
On the way back, she didn't say anything else.
Anderson reserved a restaurant and ate with her. It was 9:30 pm, and in a city like Belchester City, it wasn't too late.
By the time Anderson returned to the mansion, it was already past midnight.
He saw a faint light from the room upstairs. He wasn't in any hurry to get out of the car.
He rolled down the car window and held a cigarette between his fingers. When he lit the cigarette, a red dot appeared in the darkness.
Sometime later, he saw the lights turn on in the room upstairs. He stared at it for a while, and after a few minutes, Mayra came downstairs in her pajamas.
She slowly turned on the lights in the living room and walked into the kitchen. Seeing as there weren't many ingredients in the fridge, she just planned to make a simple mushroom soup.
