Mayra couldn't contact Anderson as well. She couldn't even remember when she last spoke to him. Even when she tried to call him, she couldn't get through. Before leaving the office, Nina asked her to try to reach Anderson again. After finishing her study hall, Mayra went to the water station for water and glanced down from the second floor. She found Emily talking to Gordon in the secluded woods below the building. As they were too far away, she couldn't hear what they were saying. Nonetheless, she didn't care too much. She turned around and returned to the classroom. Emily came back within five minutes, but she didn't seem too happy. Mayra drank water while reading the textbook to preview the next lesson. This time, Emily was indifferent. She didn't speak to Mayra all day long. During class, the most solemn physics teacher randomly selected Emily to answer a question. For the sake of their friendship, Mayra secretly told her the answer. But Emily said, "I don't know the answer."
