Chapter 108
Tears clung to Mayra's lashes. Tilting her head to the side, she wiped them away. It took her a while to recover from the heart-wrenching feeling and suffocation.
"No, I just had a nightmare."
Anderson stroked her soft, long hair. "Are your legs still hurting?"
Looking down, she shook her head. "They're much better now."
Her slim, straight legs were exposed outside of the blanket. The only flaw on them was the light scarring from the healed wounds.
From the bedside table, Anderson found the medicinal cream and moved to the foot of the bed. When he held her tiny ankle, it created a stark contrast with the thickness of his wrist.
Mayra wasn't such a meek person. These injuries were not a big deal to her. She drew back her leg a little. "Andy, it's alright. These injuries are nothing. They'll heal in a few days."
He grabbed her ankle which she was trying to pull away. "It'll look ugly if it leaves a scar. A new batch of clothes will arrive a few days later. Choose the ones you like
