Deirdre packed up the food and placed it in Brendan's briefcase. Then, she saw him leave.
Mrs. Wanner brought in the freshly dried clothes and witnessed the scene. "Ms. McKinnon, you're so good to Mr. Brighthall. You've been personally preparing meals for him these few days. Are you worried that the cafeteria food at his company won't suit his taste?" she asked with a smile.
Deirdre smiled, but her answer wasn't that simple.
