Jaric looked at Sebastian and said, "Mr. Wilder, thank you for stepping in to help."
Sebastian replied solemnly, "I did it for my own safety too. So, there's no need to thank me. Besides, the crisis isn't over yet.
"My magical artifacts are almost used up, and my spiritual stones will only hold out for one more day. If we don't come up with a plan by then, we're all going to die."
Jaric frowned as he listened. He understood the gravity of the situation but felt just as lost.
"The Miltons had retreated for now. Why don't we make a run for it?" Delaney suggested.
Jaric shook his head. "They've blocked the only exit. Where can we go?"
"Can't we find another way around?" she asked, puzzled.
He shook his head again. "You guys should know how treacherous this mountain can be. Dangerous beasts are lurking everywhere. The only safe way out is the route you took to enter earlier."
