Sabrina believed no woman, not even herself, could resist a man's tender affection.
As she parted her lips to meet Nelson's, she felt a sting of self-reproach. She had pushed aside his meanness and everything that had happened during this time.
Sabrina's room was shrouded in darkness. The absence of light heightened her sense of hearing.
Back then, she had shared moments like this with Nelson.
They would embrace, kiss, and give in to their desires in a room devoid of light. Sabrina lost track of time during those intimate moments, and any thought of resisting him vanished.
After Nelson cleaned her up, Sabrina curled up under the blanket and fell asleep. He stood by the bed, watching her for a while before leaving the room.
Nelson went downstairs, poured himself a drink, and then sat on the couch.
