Chapter 485
Nelson didn't move. He just stood there, looking at Sabrina. The light from the chandelier poured down over her, illuminating her as she sat gracefully with her eyes focused intently on him.
He felt that with just one look from her, he could lose all self-control.
He frowned, struggling to hold back the strange feelings stirring inside him. He didn't want her to leave, but being this close to her was a kind of torture.
Suppressing his emotions, he finally said, "If I had met you after I had already raised a child, maybe I would've known how to love you. Then… maybe you wouldn't have left."
The words slipped out of him, wistful and unexpected.
Sabrina just looked at him, waiting for him to continue. But Nelson shifted the topic. "You didn't tell William that you know he's your child now, did you? If you had, he'd be over the moon. Why haven't you told him?"
