Nelson's breath warmed the sensitive skin along Sabrina's neck as she lay against his chest, their position far too intimate.
His arm was wrapped around her waist—not tightly, but firmly enough that she couldn't pull away.
She took a breath and let out a humorless laugh. "You're right. I really shouldn't have come back."
As she spoke, she shifted against him, trying to wriggle free like a small creature attempting to escape.
Nelson let out a low, ragged breath. "Sabrina, keep squirming if you want… If I didn't know you better, I'd think you were doing this on purpose."
In the dim light, she caught a glimpse of his body's reaction.
"Then why don't you let go?" she challenged.
"I told you, I can't help myself. Just a little longer."
The unspoken choice was clear—she could either keep resisting and risk things escalating, or let him hold her for just a moment.
"Think of it as compensation for those harsh words about never wanting to see me again, okay?" His fingers brushed gently
