Chapter 388
Nelson gently traced the scar. It didn't take him long to realize why she had tried to take her own life.
His eyes were filled with pain, but her words made his hand freeze and his face turn pale. "Hank didn't say anything. He didn't tell me anything," he stammered.
Sabrina snorted coldly and pulled her hand away, ready to leave.
"Sabrina, I swear I didn't know," he said, feeling as if a knife had pierced his heart. He was too foolish before and trusted Hank too much, which gave others the opportunity to take advantage of the situation.
Sabrina lifted her gaze. "Nelson, are you really going to stand here and reminisce the past with me?"
He looked at her for a moment before stepping aside, allowing her to leave. He knew she hated it when he tried to control her or put force on her.
Sabrina left in such a hurry that she forgot the bag she had placed on the counter.
Nelson grabbed it and quickly followed, gently catching her by the wrist.
She glared at him. "What do you want?"
