Sabrina stood up, and Nelson tried to stop her.
"The more you try to control me, the more I resent you," she said with annoyance.
Nelson was speechless.
Sabrina was surprised to see Fiona at the door. She had assumed Fiona was there to confront Nelson, which might give her a chance to escape. So, she opened the door.
Unexpectedly, Fiona grabbed her arm and pleaded, "Sabrina, please, I beg you to ask Nelson to let my family go."

Fiona, looking distressed and on the verge of tears, began explaining the situation.

"I was wrong. I won't do it again," Fiona said, looking pitiful.
