When they arrived at the ward, they saw Nelson lying in bed with his head wrapped in bandages.
Upon seeing Sabrina, he flashed a bright smile.
Sabrina felt speechless. After all, he had been so aloof that morning, saying that if she didn't love him, he didn't love her either. And there were plenty of fish in the sea.
Sabrina stood there in a daze, causing Nelson to frown. "Why are you standing so far away? Come closer."
"What's wrong with you?" Sabrina asked Nelson as she walked to the bedside, forgetting that they were divorced.
Ignoring his pain, Nelson pulled Sabrina into his embrace, his bandaged head resting against her. "Darling, I'm injured. Why didn't you come to see me sooner?"
"Nelson, what did you just call me?" Sabrina widened her eyes.
"Darling! You're my wife, Mrs. Tucker." Nelson grinned.
"Nelson, we're divorced." Sabrina sighed.
He stiffened. "No, didn't you say you had gathered the courage to give me another chance?"
