Chapter-4: Introduction
Sya's POV:
Luckily, Hannah and I had all classes together, except for the third one which was before lunch. But it's okay. I think I could handle at least one class alone.
We entered our first class on time as it was getting filled with students. Hannah and I took a seat near the window, while the students were gathering in the room. The room was getting filled with noises that were increasing with every passing second.
It was then, the boy who I'd bumped into earlier in the morning entered the classroom and the noises lowered as all attention snapped towards him in, like, a millisecond. It was like he was some kind of celebrity or a Greek model. All the girls were now looking at him as if he was some piece of meat. This made me annoyed for some reason. He took in his surroundings when the chatters got louder with a new topic or especially a boy to talk about. Suddenly, his gaze fell on me and our eyes met again for the second time in the day when again Hannah brought me back out of the unfamiliar daze.
"Hey, isn't he the same boy you bumped into?" I felt my cheeks heating up as I muttered, "Yeah."
"Isn't he hot?" She exclaimed as she looked at him dreamily. Not you too!
I rolled my eyes and dropped my gaze on the desk. After some time, the teacher entered the classroom, and, thankfully, the annoying chatters died down. The teacher was looking pleasant and friendly as he began introducing himself.
"Good morning, students! My name is William Woods and I will be your English teacher this year. I hope we will get along well. Now, I would like you to introduce yourselves one by one and get to know each other."
And with that, the students started to introduce themselves one by one until our turn came. First Hannah introduced herself with absolute confidence as I looked at her in admiration. She was always the confident one between us and I'd be the shy and timid one. Believe me, I always hated it but I couldn't help myself.
"Hi! I'm Hannah Adrian and I hope I will make more friends here." She said excitedly, on which some students chuckled at her cuteness, while some nodded in appreciation, and then it was my turn.
"Hello! My name is Sya Summers." I said shyly and then took my seat immediately. I could feel the burning gaze of that boy at the side of my head all the time. It made me more shy and self-conscious. More students introduced themselves after that and then came his turn. Now it was my time to stare at him. As he stood up from his seat I noticed his features more clearly. He had chocolate brown hair that was disheveled, making him look even more handsome if that was possible. He had those grey-blue eyes, which I considered the deepest yet the most calming thing in the world. He had high cheekbones and rigid straight features, beautiful lips, and a perfect body that I supposed was made after spending hours working out. He completely looked like a model as if he had come out of a magazine. Then I heard the most melodic, manly voice in my whole life.
"Hello! I'm Kane Wilson." He said in his deep, captivating voice, and the class filled with cheers. They were mostly from girls who were shamelessly drooling at him. He sat back in his seat and his eyes fell on me. I quickly dropped my gaze on the desk as if something interesting was there.
The whole period passed like that. I chanced a glance at him and he'd already been staring at me. It was making me very uncomfortable for some reason. The teacher was explaining some grammar rules, but my mind was stuck on the boy who had occupied my thoughts. I think I had heard that name before. But where?

Kane's POV:
I was watching that girl whose name was Sya. She had bumped into me this morning and had drifted in my thoughts since then. I didn't know why but I felt a pull towards her, towards her soft and gentle face, her black intense eyes, and small features. She had long dark golden hair that was just above her hips. I liked her hair the most. She had a lean body with perfect curves, so fragile and delicate......Stop! Why am I thinking too much about her? It's not like she's my........she's my.........mate!
My eyes widened at the plausibility of my guess but then immediately shook the thoughts away.
I would have to ask Stella about this. Until then, I have to stay away from her. Ugh! I couldn't even drop college or I'd have to tell Bryson what happened in the forest that night. And he would not be pleased to know I rejected my mate that's for sure. He would try everything to get us together. After all, he's that romantic type of vampire every girl fantasizes about. But I had to confirm if she really was the girl I had saved from the cliff years ago.
The classes ended and soon it was lunchtime where Bryson and I had planned to meet. I saw him at the cafeteria's entrance, pacing like a lunatic. He looked unusually happy? Why?
As I neared, he immediately took me into a bear hug and jumped excitedly. It took me off guard and I gave him a confused look that he completely brushed off and again started bouncing like a freaking kangaroo, me in his embrace. I pushed him back with a little force because he was crushing me now and glared at him.
"God! What's biting you under there?" I asked, annoyed with his childish behavior and then I got my answer. It was something I could never have guessed. Not even in my wildest dreams!
"Kane, I have found my mate!"
