••• Hayden’s POV ••• After making sure for Goddess knew how many times that Charlotte would be treated well, I finally left with Dad. Strangely, we didn't use the driver, and he was the one driving. Before long, we arrived at a beautiful cottage in a human town, and a young couple greeted us. “A Werewolf and a witch coupling?” I was surprised and asked Rhett to make sure I got it correct. “Yeah,” Rhett said, sulking again since we had to leave our mate behind. “Dad, we are doing business with which?” I mindlinked him, but he didn't reply. “Alpha Marcus, it had been quite some time since we last met,” the female spoke. “Indeed,” Dad replied and entered the house as if he belonged there. I had no choice but to follow him, no matter how puzzled I was. “Hayden, sit here first while I talk to them,” Dad said, and I followed his order, still thinking about the purpose of our coming here.
