••• Charlotte’s POV ••• “Lottie, the guests have all gone home,” I received a mindlink from Leo. “Thank you, Leo,” I replied in a soft voice and closed the mindlink as I squatted down next to Dad’s tombstone. Today was the day of Dad’s funeral and many guests had attended to offer me their condolences. They all told me so many great things about Dad, and how they had high hopes for me as the new Alpha of the Moon Crest Pack. “Dad…” I murmured and leaned against his tombstone. “I’m scared… I don't know if I can do a better job than you…” Even though I’d been doing a great job so far, at this moment, I had no confidence in myself.
