I instinctively wanted to raise my hand to cover the mark but stopped myself. Instead, I looked up at Gideon and nodded. "I got bitten."
His intense gaze pierced through me. Even though we were locked in eye contact, I couldn't read his thoughts. Still, I picked up on his displeasure.
