Yvette blushed and looked down, but I could tell she was furious. Then, Samuel turned to her and asked, "Yvie, why didn't you mention to me that you saw a woman in Gideon's car?" Yvette quickly replied, "Because it's Gideon's private business! How could I tell you without his permission? I only brought it up now because Victoria mentioned having dinner with him." Samuel immediately accepted her explanation and gently reassured her, "I wasn't blaming you. I was just curious, that's all." Yvette smiled faintly. "I'm probably overthinking it. Just because she was in his car doesn't mean she's his girlfriend. Gideon has had so many people pursuing him over the years, but he hasn't shown much interest in that sort of thing." Samuel chuckled. "Even if she's his girlfriend, it doesn't matter. Honestly, Gideon should have a woman in his life by now. It'd probably soften him up a little." I saw Yvette's anger rising, but she held it back, managing to keep her composure in front of Samuel.
