Of course, I could not "see" Samuel or Leonardo. I could only hear Yvette's voice. I asked hesitantly, "Is that you, Yvette?"
Yvette quickly rushed over to hold my arm. "It's me, Jules! Samuel said yesterday that there's nothing between you two, that he just pities you. I think he's lying—he obviously cares about you. But... you have a boyfriend now?"
