Chapter 20
"Call the police. Get me all the surveillance footage," Samuel demanded.
I frowned. I couldn't let him report it to the police.
I took out my phone, turned it on, and called Samuel.
"Where are you? Don't be scared. I'll come find you. Tell me, where did that man take you? He didn't do anything to you, did he?" Samuel's voice carried a trace of urgency—or maybe it was just my imagination.
"I'm already on the subway heading back to the university."
After saying that, I hung up.
The next moment, I heard Samuel smashing his phone outside.
Peeking through the crack in the door, I saw Samuel storm out of the hospital, furious. Only then did I sneak to the second floor through the emergency stairwell and leave the hospital via the corridor in the main building.
During that time, my phone kept ringing. They were all calls from Samuel.
