Chapter 17
As expected, Samuel's expression turned gloomy, and he stared at me intensely. I had never seen that expression on his face before; there was rage and a little bit of interest in his gaze.
Ignoring him, I walked away with my cane.
Yet Samuel carried me and strode toward his car. Then, he shoved me into the back seat.
I was a little surprised.
I thought that after my threats, Samuel would be worried that I'd say something to Yvette, so he'd let me leave. Unexpectedly, he still carried me into his car.
"You're blind. If you get out, you might be hit by a car and die." His expression remained upset. When he sneaked a peek at me through the rear-view mirror, I continued looking aloof.
On the other hand, Yvette sounded frightened. "You're scaring me, Samuel. Your voice is too fierce."
I noticed that Samuel hesitated before he gave her a gentle look.
I didn't know why he was angry. He even ignored Yvette earlier. Normally, he would be very obedient and gentle to her.
