Evelyn was stunned when the call ended. A battle between men?
The sky was darkening. After a moment's hesitation, Evelyn returned to Damon's villa.
Damon was already sitting in the living room, reading a newspaper.
Aunt Sophia greeted Evelyn with a smile:
"Madam, did you enjoy the party today?"

Evelyn glanced at Damon, who was casually drinking coffee, and inwardly chuckled. She hadn't expected Damon to lie proactively.
Evelyn smiled:
"It was quite fun. Damon dropped me off at a friend's house before returning to the office to handle some work."
Aunt Sophia frowned slightly:
"You should have had Mr. Damon bring you back. It's not safe for such a beautiful lady to return alone."
"It's fine. He let me drive his car."
Evelyn had indeed taken Damon's car when she left the mall. The thought of Damon having to flag a taxi with a tearful Elin amused her, giving her a sense of satisfaction.
