Chapter 101: The Truth
Evelyn's statement seemed directed at Langin, but it also served as a promise to Elin.
Elin felt a rush of blood to her head, followed by a sudden chill. She bit her lip and tugged at Damon's hand:
"No... Damon, it's all my fault! I didn't lock the door properly, which is why Young Master Langin accidentally came in. Now it's such a big mess, if this gets out, who knows what kind of rumors will spread at school. I'd rather die than listen to their gossip!"
Elin's sobs grew louder, as if she had suffered a great injustice.
Damon's face softened, filled with pain for her.
Langin, however, couldn't stand Elin's performance, shaking with anger, ready to lash out.
Evelyn, not allowing him to act rashly, gently shook her head at Langin:
"Can't you see she's guilty? Calm down."
Hearing Evelyn's voice, Damon turned back, his cold gaze fixed on her:
"Do you want everyone to know that Elin was seen naked by a stranger?"
Evelyn crossed her arms, amused:
