Three percent of Pelham Group’s shares were indeed tempting to me, but I didn’t need it. I could still live well even if I didn’t get a cent out of our divorce. If I didn’t ask for a divorce settlement, I could be free from Henry.
“No way.” Henry’s straightforward answer surprised me.
“Haven’t you thought about how my existence is an inconvenience to your pursuit of true love in the future?” I reminded Henry.
After chasing Laurel for more than half a month, he should’ve noticed something different about her, right? Henry had never spent so much effort on any of the women he dated.
