I took the bag of produce from Edith. Although these fruits and vegetables were not as good as those sold in the market, they were clean and fresh. I admired Edith and Aren for being so self-sufficient as to grow their own food.
“Thank you, Edith. It’s not your fault. You’re not an accomplice, so don’t take it to heart,” I replied gently.
“Madam, you’re so kind. Arno is an impulsive person and used to cause a lot of trouble in the past. I didn’t expect him to attack you. As his sister-in-law, I can only help to apologize to you on his behalf,” Edith said with a sigh.
It looked like Edith still wasn’t aware of what was going on with Henry and Laurel. Otherwise, she wouldn’t just be talking about her brother-in-law.
