The next day, William sent the young boy to deliver a new quilt.
The quilt was not very thick, but at least it was warmer and cleaner than the one Valentina was currently using.
When Valentina groggily woke up, she saw William coming in with the quilt. The boy peeked through the door and seeing Valentina, he envied, "Your wife is very beautiful."
"Yes, she is."
Just as the boy was about to say something more, William shut the door.
Turning around, he saw Valentina was surprisingly awake, looking at him.
"You are awake." He got caught again, what bad luck.
But this time he was calmer. He took out the quilt from the bag, "I brought a new quilt for your bed."
The frail Valentina seemed too weakened or too lazy to bicker with him over this and just said, "Next time, don't be so reckless."

"I see."
William replaced her quilt and poured a glass of water for her, "I made chicken soup, it will help replenish your strength.
