After the call with Thomas, Eleanor went back to the packhouse to discuss the new development with Henry.
“You should not go,” he said as soon as she finished telling him the details. “You are right, it’s obviously a trap.”
“But this is also the best chance to discover the hybrids’ hideout,” she told him. “We’ll hatch a plan and I’ll not go without backup.”
“You are right, we need to find out where they have their base. But I still don’t like it. What if they ask you to meet somewhere else other than where they are hiding?”
“Then I’ll use my backup,” she told him. “I have to take the risk. I have to try and save Nessa, and if there’s a chance I can find Mia, I have to take it.”
During that night’s fight with Mia’s hybrids, Jonathan had ordered his men to take her to him. So she believed that his ultimate goal was to hold her hostage in his camp.
