Chapter 163 - Beginning of a New Chapter

Ella was in the center of the recently acquired rogues' territory, Rogues-Ridge. She had traveled far and through many dangerous and frightening moments to get here, but now, as she turned to face the assembled crowd, she experienced a sense of purpose she had never felt before. Standing before them was an ancient building that had once been a beautiful palace but was now in a condition of desertion, its walls broken and weathered by time. The ridge was a vast landscape of sharp rocks and lush forests. The structure was majestic even though it was old. Even with their fading and disintegrating patches, the stone walls still displayed the beautiful carvings that formerly adorned them, and the ruins of grand tapestries still clung to the walls, their colors somewhat faded but retained. Previously a majestic hall, the big chamber in the middle of the structure was now empty with heavily dust-covered floors. Ella inhaled deeply as the pressure of the situation descended upon her.
