CHAPTER NINETY-SEVEN NOW WE'RE JUST PRISONERS?
JAVION'S POV
The Lycans herded us like cattle into the prison, a dank, foul-smelling place that reeked of decay and despair.
Chains clinked as we were forced inside, the heavy doors slamming shut behind us with an ominous finality. I could feel the weight of their gazes, the anger and disappointment radiating off my warriors like heat from a furnace.
My heart ached with the burden of my decision, but I knew it was the only way to keep them alive.
As we settled into the cold, hard floor, a voice broke through the oppressive silence. "Looks like we meet here, baby," Sasha said, her tone mocking and cruel.
She was one of our prisoners, now reveling in our downfall. I refused to acknowledge her, keeping my eyes fixed on the ground. She scoffed and moved away, her laughter echoing off the stone walls.
Once the Lycans left, the silence in our makeshift prison became deafening. My warriors avoided my gaze, their disappointment palpable.
