CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY-ONE THE CONFESSION, THE FORGIVENESS, THE LUNA
DAPHNE’S POV
I walked towards the center of the room where Javion stood, surrounded by Xander and his rogues, my heart pounded in my chest.
The sight of him, bruised and beaten, pierced through me like a knife. I didn’t care about the rogues or Xander anymore; all that mattered was Javion.
My feet moved faster, and before I knew it, I was running. I reached him and threw myself into his arms, gripping his hands tightly.
I ignored the sharp glances and muttered insults from the rogues. All I could focus on was Javion, his battered face, and the pain in his eyes.
“I love you,” I said, my voice trembling. Tears streamed down my face as I looked into his eyes, those eyes that had once been my sanctuary. “I love you so much, Javion. I’ll love you till the day I die.”
His hands were cold and rough, but I held them tightly, trying to infuse some warmth into them. My heart ached seeing him like this, and I was overwhelmed with a mix of relief and sorrow.
