CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN I CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT HIM
Daphne's POV
I sat on the ground, my tears soaking the earth beneath me, a storm of emotions raged inside.
My thoughts kept circling back to one thing: if something happens to our son, I will never be able to forgive Javion.
I had told him. I had clearly told him not to forgive Saxera. But he didn’t listen. He chose mercy over our family’s safety, and now our baby boy was gone.
The thought made my chest tighten with a mix of fear and rage.
“How could he do this?” I muttered to myself, my voice barely above a whisper. “I told him. I warned him.”
I could still see the look on his face when he forgave Saxera, as if he truly believed that mercy would solve everything.
But mercy didn’t solve anything. It only brought us more pain. And now, our son was missing because of it.
I clenched my fists, feeling the nails dig into my palms. “If something happens to him…” I couldn’t even finish the thought. The idea of losing my baby boy was too much to bear. He was our world, our future.
