CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THREE THE DRINK, THE MERCY, THE FEAR
DAPHNE'S POV
"That’s why she also let the Lycans attack you. I regret my actions, but I don’t regret following the moon goddess. I need your forgiveness so I can sleep well. If you can’t forgive me, then just kill me.”
Her words hung heavy in the air. I glanced at Javion, hoping he would see reason and deny her forgiveness. My eyes pleaded with him, but he seemed lost in thought.
He looked back at Saxera, then walked over to her. He took a deep breath, held her hand, and lifted her from her knees.
“You are forgiven,” he said quietly.
I was shocked, confused. What was he thinking? Why would he forgive her? I saw some of the other wolves looking at Javion, their faces reflecting my disbelief, but no one dared to speak against him. He was the alpha, and his word was law.
