Chapter Seventy-Nine Wedding Plan
It's been over a week since I last saw Angela; it's been like a part of her has been missing. Planning my wedding without Angela felt different. Although I wanted her back, I didn't know how to forgive her for her actions.
"Ma'am?" Ms. Regina, you need to sign these documents now." Anna said. She tapped the documents on my mahogany desk that had been there for a while.
I blinked, then refocused my attention on Anna. "I'm sorry, I'm not done reading them," I replied, opening one of the documents to pretend I was reading it.
However, when Anna stepped out, I dropped the file and stood up. I pushed my chair back and walks across my highly furnished office to stand by the window, looking out. This wasn't how I saw my life in my forties. Getting divorced and remarried wasn't part of the plan. Losing my friend, Angela, was something I had never even considered.
