Chapter Sixty-Six Tired
I observed as the bag Angela carried slipped from her grasp, only to be swiftly caught by Joyce before it hit the floor. The unexpected event caught everyone in the room off guard.
"Are you okay?" I inquired; my concern evident as I noticed Angela's face paling with fear. Bewildered by Angela's sudden apprehension, I couldn't fathom the cause of her distress.
Lost in her thoughts, Angela seemed oblivious to my question. Concerned, I moved away from Thomas's bedside and approached Angela. As soon as I touched her arm, Angela emitted a squeak in response.
"What is wrong with you?" I questioned again.
"Are you alright, Ma'am?" Anthony inquired from behind Regina, genuine worry etched across his face.
"I…I…huh. I'm alright; I feel a little bit dizzy," Angela stammered.
"Dizzy? You don't look fine. Something must be wrong. What's going on?" I pressed.
"I'm fine, Regina. I just, I don't know, I'm just tired, I guess," Angela replied.
