Within a split second, she had disappeared out of the room, leaving Dylan all alone in the silence. He gazed down at his glass, his grin spreading wider across his face. His smoldering eyes twinkled mischievously.
All of a sudden, his phone buzzed in his pocket, followed by the melodic sound of his ringtone. Dylan raised his brows, then put down his glass and took his phone out of his pocket.
He smiled when he saw the name on the screen—a smile even more mischievous than the one he already had.
He leaned back in his chair as he put the phone to his ear. "Hello, Quentin."
Quentin was at this moment on his way to his office. By the time Dylan finally picked up, he had already arrived at his door, and was reaching out to grab the doorknob when Dylan's voice rang out from the other end of the line.
A smile spread across his face as he opened the door and entered his office. "Dylan, are you free to talk right now? Am I disturbing you?"
