Irene caught wind of the laughter ahead, not far off, light-hearted and joyful. Her gaze drifted over, instantly recognizing the group. They were all from the same social circle, and she encountered most of them before. Among them was someone from the Ward family: Wendy Queen. Irene was not particularly fond of making new acquaintances. She would only do so when necessary. For instance, she grew closer to Lilian lately.
